The most important International Language

"Hello, my name is Alexandra Lopes, I´m Portuguese and I live near a beautiful place with some great beaches, Santa Cruz.
In the spring and summer we have many tourists visiting Portugal, Lisbon, and especially from England they fly direct to the sunny and warm Algarve.
Is it possible to live in a country with a lot of tourism and not know how to speak English??!
Well it is, but it´s easier if you know how, it´s so important to know this great language... it just feels really great when you´re in holidays or even working in some other place, like France, Germany, England, Greece... but you can have a conversation and not feel lonely.
It´s very important and necessary to know how to speak English in my job because I may meet foreigner users on holidays or just passing some time in Portugal, and if they have the European health card their rights are the same as a Portuguese citizen. If not, then they must go so to the nearest hospital. However it´s nice to know how to answer if someone asks you something.
I think it is really the most important International Language, everyday everywhere you look, you just find something written in english if you are working, drinking a coffee, shopping, even technical manuals are allways in English... or not?!!
I advice everyone to take at least the first step, one simple English school."
